Technologies
ETAC helps businesses investigate application of the following
environmentally-friendly energy technologies to improve their heating,
drying, coating and curing processes, before large investments or
production changes are made:
After businesses have applied the above technologies, ETAC has
the ability to test the products with a Weather-Ometer,
or another accelerated environmental testing device, to ensure
that they will resist deterioration caused by long-term exposure
to the elements.
These technologies may also be combined, such as in ETAC's combination
infrared and convection (Combo) oven, which reduces the amount
of energy and time required for products to reach and maintain a
needed temperature.
Drying times for waterborne coatings can be reduced by using dehumidification
systems that remove moisture from incoming air, and warms the air
before it is recirculated over the parts.
Optimum Air's Rapid Dry System™ allows manufacturers to easily
spray on UV/EB Curable coatings using water as the carrier. They
can then dry and cure the coatings without heat. Rather than using
heated air, the re-circulated dehumidified air quickly removes moisture
from the coating. For more information about Optimum Air's engineered
systems for drying waterborne coatings, visit them at

These technologies are used to help businesses reduce or prevent
volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, thus assisting them in
achieving and maintaining environmental compliance.
