Energy Efficiency Training Program
DISTANCE LEARNING

Overview

Web-based learning allows you to do the course work on your own time, at your convenience, from the location of your choice. It is available 24 hours every day and you can log on and off when it is convenient to you.

Distance classes let you learn at your convenience. You will work primarily on your own but will have regular discussions and interactions with the instructor and fellow students in the Discussion Forums that will be established. The instructor will provide feedback on a regular basis for various course activities.

Additionally, an in-person demonstration of essential energy assessment diagnostic and measuring equipment will be conducted at a central location.

Using reading assignments, lecture notes, web research and activities, quizzes, exams, and homework assignments, you will gain a fundamental understanding of the methods of reducing industrial energy consumption and its associated costs. At the successful completion of the program, you will be able to identify and quantify basic energy management opportunities in both industrial and commercial buildings.

There will be weekly assignments, mandatory discussion forums, quizzes, and a comprehensive final exam. Each class has a Pass/Fail grading system. You will receive a Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of all program requirements.

Course Schedule

The course follows a Monday to Sunday schedule. You can begin the coursework for a given class on each Monday. All coursework requirements for the week are due the following Sunday.

You can work ahead, though it is not recommended as additional comments by the Instructor may be inserted at any time during each lesson.
