Benefits of Using ETAC
ETAC helps businesses and manufacturers gain a competitive edge
by offering a wide array of unique benefits, including:
- Expertise and industrial experience of staff.
The ETAC
staff has the expertise to develop and customize processes,
materials and technologies. Many of ETAC's staff have 20 to 30
years or more of experience in industry.
- State-of-the-art technologies. ETAC
finds novel ways to test and apply proven heating, drying, coating
and curing technologies so that the best energy choice can be
determined before large investments or production changes are
made. These technologies include infrared,
microwave,
radio
frequency, ultrasonic, ultraviolet
and electron
beam energies.
- Testing and curing of coatings.
ETAC has the ability to test their coatings using an intense,
accelerated
environmental testing to ensure that the coatings will resist
deterioration caused by exposure to the elements, and uses a combination
of technologies in its combination
infrared and convection ("combo") oven to reduce
the amount of energy and time necessary for products to reach
and maintain a required temperature.
- Strong involvement of the client. ETAC
encourages clients to take an active role in the work performed
on their behalf. ETAC staff gain insight into nuances of the client's
requirements and the client is ensured that the final product
will meet their needs.
- Confidential service. ETAC conceals
company names to allow clients to maintain their confidentiality
and competitive edge.
- Independence from equipment or materials vendors.
ETAC is dedicated to helping clients find the best solution to
meet their process needs, and does not have a stake in selling
particular technologies, equipment or materials.
- Reasonable costs. As a non-profit,
government-subsidized organization, ETAC offers competitive rates
in coordination with Northampton
Community College.
In many cases, ETAC can find or provide funding to further offset
the cost of the work performed or to implement the recommendations.
